Egremni Beach

4.6(5,687)out of 5 on Google📍 Lefkada

Egremni is a long, wild beach of white pebbles and sand under high cliffs on the west coast of Lefkada, with some of the most intensely coloured water in the Ionian. For years its long stairway down the cliff was part of the adventure; earthquakes and landslides have repeatedly damaged the access.

The essential point for 2026: Egremni is closed by land, so do not try the old path or the steps from the car park. The only sensible way to reach it is by sea, on one of the boat trips or rental boats that run along the west coast in calm weather, usually combined with Porto Katsiki. The west coast is exposed, so trips depend on wind and swell. Once there, stay away from the foot of the cliffs and bring your own shade and water.
