Gidaki
Παραλία Γιδάκι
The best-known beach on Ithaca and the hardest to reach: a long strip of white pebbles under a wooded slope with no road to it at all. The easy way is the small boat from Vathy harbour, which runs several times a day in season; the other way is a steep path of about forty minutes over the headland from Sarakiniko. There is a canteen and some sunbeds, but take water anyway.
