Archaeological Museum of Limnos

Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Λήμνου

Housed in a nineteenth-century mansion on the Romeikos Gialos waterfront, this is the key that unlocks the island's four ancient sites. Rooms are arranged by site — Poliochni, Hephaistia, the Kabeirion and Myrina — with pottery, the strange sirens and votive figures from Hephaistia, and finds that show how closely Limnos was tied to Troy and the Anatolian coast. An hour here before driving east is an hour well spent.
