The highest village in the north, half abandoned, clinging to a ridge with the sea on three sides and the whole of the northern Ionian in view. A few houses are lived in again in summer. Above the village stand three stone pyramids built by a nineteenth-century islander as family tombs, which is exactly as odd as it sounds, and well worth the short walk up.
