Agios Georgios Beach
Άγιος Γεώργιος
Agios Georgios is the long pebble bay at the northern end of Folegandros, below Ano Meria, and getting there is part of it: the bus drops you on the road and a stony path descends for three-quarters of an hour past dry-stone terraces and a chapel. There is nothing at the bottom but a wide shingle beach, a few tamarisks and open sea. Bring water, food and shade, and leave time for the climb back up in the afternoon heat. Beach boats from Karavostasis also call here in high season.
