Grammata
Γράμματα
A long sheltered inlet in the uninhabited north of Syros, and the one beach here with a story: the rocks around it carry inscriptions cut by sailors from antiquity through the Byzantine centuries, prayers for a safe crossing, left by crews who sheltered in the bay. Boats run from Kini in summer; by land it is a long walk on a rough track. Nothing is sold there.
