The village beach at Kokkari, a long pebble bank in two parts either side of a headland, with tavernas and bars along the back and sunbeds in season. The one facing west picks up afternoon wind, which is why windsurfers have used Kokkari for decades. It is not the prettiest water on the coast — the coves west of here are — but you can swim and then eat without moving the car.
