The west cliffs & the north: Navagio and the Blue Caves
Shipwreck beach, the Blue Caves, Porto Limnionas and a coast of white cliffs with no road down to the water. Spectacular, and not somewhere to sleep.

Everything famous about Zakynthos is on this side. Navagio, the cove with the rusted smuggler's ship in the sand, can only be reached by boat; the clifftop viewpoint above it is a separate drive through Volimes, and it has been closed at times after rockfalls, so check before you commit the morning. The Blue Caves at the northern cape are the other half of the standard boat trip, best in the morning light.
Inland the island is farmland and old villages — Anafonitria monastery, the cross at Kampi on its cliff, an olive tree claimed to be among the oldest in Greece. Porto Limnionas and Porto Vromi are rock inlets with ladders rather than beaches, and they are the best swimming on the island if you do not need sand.
There is effectively nothing to stay in here, which is the point: this is a day with a car and a boat ticket, run out of Tsilivi, Alykes or Laganas.
