Poseidonion Grand Hotel Spetses

4.6(1,329)out of 5 on Google📍 Spetses

The Poseidonion Grand Hotel has dominated the waterfront at the Dapia since 1914, when Sotirios Anargyrios, the Spetsiot tobacco magnate who also replanted the island's pine forests and founded its famous school, opened it on the model of the grand hotels of the Riviera. After a long decline it was restored and reopened in 2009, and it is again the island's landmark address.

It is the most-reviewed hotel in our Spetses list. The setting is the attraction: the belle-époque façade, the terrace facing the sea and the ferry dock steps away, so you can arrive from Piraeus, typically in two to four hours, without needing a taxi. Book early for September, when the Armata festival fills the island.
