A sanctuary of the Kabeiroi on a bare headland above the sea, related to the mystery cult on Samothraki and in use from the archaic period into Roman times. What survives is foundations, column stumps and the outline of a hall of initiation, laid out on a terrace with a hundred-and-eighty-degree sea view. The setting does most of the work. The path down to the cave of Philoctetes starts here.
