Sigri Castle
Κάστρο Σιγρίου
A square Ottoman fort of 1757 standing over the harbour at Sigri, built to protect the anchorage from pirates at a time when this was one of the busiest shelters in the north Aegean. The village around it is tiny, the bay is sheltered by an island, and the whole place feels like the end of the road, which it is.
