Epanomi Beach

Παραλία Επανομής

⛱️ Sunbeds & umbrellas👨‍👩‍👧 Family-friendly

Epanomi is the long, open sand coast at the bottom of the Thermaic Gulf, about 35 km south of Thessaloniki and a good 45 minutes by car — the furthest of the city's regular beaches and the one that feels least suburban. Low dunes and scrub back the sand instead of apartment blocks, and a handful of beach bars set out sunbeds in season while long stretches in between stay empty. There is no Blue Flag here and no promenade; bring shade if you walk away from the bars, and expect wind on an open afternoon.
