Panachrantou Monastery

Μονή Παναχράντου

A white monastery clamped to a cliff ledge high above the Falika valley, reached by a steep road and then a cobbled path, or on foot from the village in about an hour. From a distance it looks like a fortress; inside it is a courtyard, chapels and a handful of monks. The view runs down the valley and out to the sea at Korthi. Cover shoulders and knees, and go in the morning — it closes for the afternoon rest.
