The other hill village above Aegiali, across the valley from Tholaria, built tight against the mountain with stepped lanes and arches over them. It is the start of the path to the Theologos monastery and the climb up Krikelos, the island's highest ground, and the finish of the long walk over from Chora. There are a few tavernas and rooms, and in the evening very little noise.
