The Olympia Shipwreck
Ναυάγιο Ολυμπία
A rusting cargo hull lying half out of the water in a cove near Kalotaritissa at the south-western tip of the island, known locally as the Olympia. It ran aground here decades ago and has been slowly collapsing ever since, orange against the grey rock and the blue. You can see it from the coast road above and from the boat to Gramvousa; divers go down to it with the local schools. Do not try to climb on it.
