Fonias Tower
Πύργος του Φονιά
A square Genoese watchtower from the fifteenth century standing alone at the mouth of the Fonias river, roofless and open to anyone who walks up. It marks the start of the waterfall path and makes the obvious meeting point. Five minutes of looking is enough, but it is a good place to understand the Gattilusi period: a handful of towers on a coast that needed watching.
