Gria Vathra
Γριά Βάθρα
The easiest vathres to reach and therefore the busiest: a chain of rock pools in a shaded gorge about twenty minutes' walk above Therma, with small waterfalls between them and flat granite slabs to lie on. The water is mountain-cold all summer. Go early if you want it to yourself, wear shoes you can get wet, and climb carefully — wet granite is slippery and there is no railing anywhere.
